Rich’s super-secret MySpace page

First off I want to say that this really isn’t super-secret because I’ve blabbed about it on my blog before, but chances are if you’re reading this it’s the first time you’re hearing about it.

I have a frostedside MySpace page but it’s set to private and I never use it. Why private? Because the page sucks and I never login to it.

The other one I have is a MySpace music page called Sabbathized. It’s here:

Sabbathized is/was my little metal music side project thing. The vast majority of people you see on the friends list came around strictly of their own free will.

I have never advertised Sabbathized and it’s really interesting to see that the current generation of rock/metal fans truly dig that sound. Metal music is just one of those things that absolutely refuses to die.

I don’t live the metal lifestyle (not by a long shot), I don’t have long hair, I don’t have tattoos, I don’t have piercings.. basically I’m a clean-cut guy.

But I really know how to stranglehold the sound of metal and make it work. That’s my saving grace. :-) No matter what you look like, if you’ve got the chops, you get respect.

The reason I’m able to recreate the Black Sabbath sound so accurately is because I more or less learned guitar by listening to ‘Sabbath songs in my earlier years. And I also read very long drawn-out magazine articles (this is pre-internet remember) on how Tony plays. It’s a style and not something you get just by playing the same notes.
