Empirian Property Management (EPM) in Florida sucks

Guess what, I’ll be moving into a new apartment in the same complex I live in now which is owned by EPM. It will be an upgrade from a studio to a 1-bedroom.

Sounds great, right?

Not really.

Guess how much time they’re giving me to move?

FOUR DAYS.

There is absolutely no possible way to get all my stuff and services (phone, internet, etc) moved in that period of time. Oh and to boot it goes over a weekend. So in reality it’s two days.

I pleaded and begged with the office to give me just one more day. Just one. No can do. It’s four days. Now I have to rush like a chicken with its head cut off just to make sure everything is moved over properly - which it won’t.

The excuse I was given by them? “You live in a studio, it’s easy to move for you.” Um.. no it isn’t, you’re forgetting the TRANSFER OF SERVICES, dumbass.

All I wanted was a week. Seven days.

But EPM couldn’t give a shit less even though my rent is paid and I’ve never given them reason to complain.

Richard is not happy at the moment.

Oh and the big kicker: The EPM web site lists no phone number for a corporate head office either. Lovely.

EPM sucks where I live, too (Tipton, IN). I’ve attempted filing complaints, but like you said, there is no phone number or address for corporate headquarters. I was finally able to reach a woman who wasn’t very helpful at all. My two main complaints were that the apartment I moved into was disgustingly filthy (EPM offered to take $50 off my rent for one month- are you kidding me?!)My second complaint was that the local property manager several times insulted my boyfriend and me with racial slurs. I cannot believe she even continues to be employed there. The things she said to our face were incredible.
